this is a beautiful part of an old culture which, despite everything has managed to hang on. i feel so sorry for the english soldiers who landed here, saw that dance and those faces and were then ordered to fight them lol. personally, i'd have ordered my men to sail back to england! :] kudos to those who embrace their heritage and do things like this haka. if i ever go to NZ anything to do with the maori is first on the agenda to see! :]

Too bad i never got a chance to be raise and taught the ways. Maybe if my folks had stay there and not come to America I'm sure I would. :(
