  • A genius and patriarch of stop-motion and the imaginative portrayal of prehistoric and mythical beasts. He breathed life into all of his creations.

  • Medusa in the original gave me nightmares and made me petrified all day, and I am not even a child! I am a massive horror fan as well, and the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre unsettled me and made me sweat all over, but that one scene with Medusa actually surpassed all of that! Her movements, to the atmosphere and direction of the scene brought back into my instinct as a human creature something primal and evil.

  • Why they felt the need to remake this film escapes me.

  • @raymondleeleggs It can be done but who would want too do it? If they released the 1981 Clash of the Titans now, they would have been laughed at.

  • I absolutely love CGI, I did like the CGI characters in the new Clash of the Titans because I am also a Greek mythology fanatic, I still think the older Clash of the Titans was a better movie.....

  • Yes, in fact, what most people thinks is CGI, is in fact pratical effects, but I don't know why, directors like Roland Emerich (sic) love to praise CGI, ignoring marvelous and non easily replaceable miniature artists by spreading this misunderstood.

But don't worry: ironically, digital photography is revolutionizing the stop-motion.

  • m_) Excellent source, thanks for sharing this the world.

  • A lot og good special effects with NO CGI it can still be done, but not many people are willing to do it
