This is a snapshot of what my experience of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race was like - leg 1 - sailing from the UK to Brazil. Not the high adrenalin stuff of later legs, but life changing none the less. I am a mother to two young children but this race gave me the chance to see life beyond the laundry pile.
