@finalvestige, I too was wondering if/how one could find the music TCM uses. I think in the year end remembrances they use actual songs. It'd be interesting to see how that works. Everyone else, I agree that Jean Simmons was a class act, drop dead gorgeous and a criminally underrated actress. So sad she's gone.

Why did they leave out "The Robe"?

@haymarketaddict I was displeased that they left out "The Egyptian". They could have shown the graduation party where the drunk soldier makes a pass and she whacks him on the head with a dipper.

Such a sweet appealing lovliness Jean Simmons had a depth of genuine charm and sincerity.What is it about so many of these lovely actresses that their men so often turn out to be perfidious losers?In her case the should have been hero Stewart Granger.

I acutally saw good film "the big country" (Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston) less than two months before her passing, such shame. thank god, Carroll Baker is currently still living at age 80. I didn't like her being cut out of the last hour of the film

Its a privately orchesrated pice for TCM, I too want it, its no where to be found but its beautiful.
