  • blue man group is creepy

  • Denis,

How can BMG be blamed for the closure? The complex was empty for 18 months!

The reasons I spelled out earlier are the true reasons for the closing of Nickelodeon Studios.

Take a look at You Tuber Josh Yawn's website cmonfwank, com

He had friends who worked for Nickelodeon and on his website he has an extensive tribute to Nickelodeon Studios. He also spells out the reasons for the closure.

BMG is not one of those reasons.

  • How do I live in Orlando and not know that's what happened.... shame. Siiigh I remember going to the old Nick Studios as a kid. Got to see the Wendy Woo set, although I was under the impression I was going to see like All That or something but whatever. Cool memory none the less. haha

  • @TheBuggyBird ME TOO! Did you get to choose 18 peices too

  • @TheBuggyBird

I never received an Email about this reply. Just to make sure I understand what you said. You went to Universal Studios in Florida, went to the old Nickelodeon Studios complex and found a Nick store? Strange that the Wikipedia listings for Nickelodeon Studios and Sharp Aquos Theatre fail to mention that a Nickelodeon Store still resides in the buildings.

There may be a store @ the Nick Hotel, but I'm not sure about the original one @ Universal still being in operation.

  • @DenisAndrejev - Correct!

  • @bewarethedecks the store is still there.!! I went in it during spring break.(: I made a spongebob.(:

  • i don´t understand!! why they have to close nickelodeon studios??

  • @CaptHayfever

And also....there was an 18 month gap between the time Nickelodeon left Universal and the time BMG surfaced.

  • @DenisAndrejev

There WAS a store there. But people stopped going in. How could Nickelodeon justify the cost of keeping the place open and paying people to sit there and do nothing?

    It makes no sense!

Nickelodeon has an animation studio in California. Why do you suppose they chose to locate it there instead of Orlando?

There was nothing Nickelodeon could do. No museum....no store....nothing. Is it a shame? Yes!!

But time had moved on....and left Nickelodeon Studios behind.

  • @DenisAndrejev Okay, a few things wrong with that comment:

    1) It closed 5 years ago. No parents are going to be surprised by this.

    2) Nickelodeon abandoned the building completely. They CHOSE to leave & not put anything else there. Nick made that decision, NOT the Blue Men.

    3) What does "our last home for Classic Nick" even mean?

    4) BMG being a group "barely anyone knows about", question mark.
