I got an email the other day from a guy who said he was preparing to be deployed to Afghanistan for duty. He asked me to write a song using his lyrics. I did not use his lyrics, but the story behind them was so moving, I was really motivated to write this song.

This is a song about supporting those who you love no matter what, inspired by Karl Holmstrom, an avid listener and supporter, and a member of the 1st Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.
