Magglio Ordonez is not the only Venezuelan Big Leaguer who supports Chavez, in fact many of them do. Such is the case of Carlos Guillen, Miguel Cabrera, Johan Santana, Ozzie Guillen and others. They are mad at him mostly because he does so openly and has even done TV ads for Chavez's political campaigns.
