Chorando se foi - Lambada

This is for sure one of my most difficult projects ever beside "take five" and "toccata/fugue" (I am still fighting with last one).

I hope you will like it.
It was pretty much work to do and not easy at all.
Here I added part of my latin american / african percussion-instruments to my accordion playing.

About recording:
I did not use any background music via headphones to my accordion-track and played after some basic sheets.
The other tracks (each percussion instrument on different track) were recorded after this accordion master track (played via headphones connected to mp3-player).
I know this is not 100% perfect and "top" speed - but I operated at my limits to do this. The speed changes were not by purpose and happened accidentially.
On a future recording I will use a backup on headphones with my very first recording (master-track) already to avoid those speed changes. Speed and keeping track on it was the most difficult thing with this project. So what - I might have recorded this in the wrong sequence. Please tell me your honest opinion about this. Thank you for any suggestion. Any positive critique, ideas for improvement to my recording or even compliments are welcome. :-)

  • this music is beautiful!!!

  • @stephenpaultaylor

Thanks, I'm glad if there are people who like it.

It was already a challenge to play like that - and it will be a bigger challenge to push the gas for more speed... ;-)

  • ja prima!

Hast etwas langsamer gespielt als üblich.

    Dadurch fehlt etwas das Schwungvolle,

gerade bezogen auf den tänzerischen Hüftschwung.

  • Hallo mein Freund - Danke !

Läuft wohl immer mehr auf die "take five"-Erfahrungen hinaus, obwohl ich die vom Takt her als weitaus schwieriger empfand.

  • oh very good music !!love the accordion !!bravo !!!!

  • @LibertangoVieenrose - It's pretty close...more like a rumba. Keep in mind to have fun experimenting, and listen to what your audience has to say.

  • @eldubioso: This was my concern. I listened to it already and got the impression "far behind in speed". Now, speed is something weared - anything is possible. So I need to train more on it and adapt more to the well known version concerning speed.

    What about rhythm ?

I am using different hits (didn't like to make a 1:1 cover). Is it far away from Lambada or pretty close ? Will you still see it as pure Lambada or is it closer to (more like) Rumba, Samba ?

  • @LibertangoVieenrose I think it's a bit too slow, at least for my taste. I'd speed it up between 20-30 bpm in addition to the current tempo. Listen to the original on YouTube to get a better idea, but play it at whatever speed makes YOU or your dancers happy.

  • Wieder mal eifnach nur ne Hammerinterpretation :) Weiter so Wolfgang!

  • Thank you very much !

Yes - I agree. But to get more into detail (and I must say clearly that I am NOT a dancer):

    Is this speed

    - possible to dance lambada ?

    - good for lambada dancing ?

    - too slow for lambada dancing ?

    - far too slow for lambada dancing ?
