  • STARFIGHTER (DK) powered by Curtiss-Wright R3350 Duplex Cyclone (54,9liter)+ Keith Black Hemi V8 510c.i.(8,3liter)3800+1800pk@3500rpm Tyre speed: 135 km/h; Fuel: avio+methanol

  • Yep, that looks right! I did notice the hemi on the top. Quite nice setup :-)

Almost 55 liters for an engine... pheeew.

  • Yep, that engine type still manage to fascinate. I think this engine has 24 cylinders, but it's just a guess.

  • Ah.. i would rather say WW2 engines as there are quite a lot of Rolls Royce engines out there that can do just as well.

Remember that the Americans had to use an English engine to get their P51 Mustang kick German ass ;-)

But this is exactly why i like tractor pulling. It's the easiest place to go and see the old engines in running condition.

  • you never heard of tractor pulling before???

    make some research

basically, it's something little like a quarter miles, except in that case it's 300 feet, I think,

and the charge they are pulling is several tons on a skid pad and not wheels

and after each pass they augment the load

  • denmark. now i wanna goto denmark.. real bad.. europe too.. i hate rain though

  • bet it wont pass smog...

  • My question is, as if the engine is mounted move and where they assembled

    ?

  • what the fuck is this tractor kinda thing! someone plz tell me! why does it stop? does it apply brakes or something? why the fuck do they do this?? an how heavy is this shit?? is it standard for every show???????????

  • The radial has 18 cylinders (2x9) and this monster sucks up 3 liters of fuel per second - just for the radial.

  • two hemis and a radial, wow

  • i like smoker diesels my self

  • The Curtis Wright R-3350 has 18 cylinders and at its peak, with manifold pressures no longer possible due to the present day unavailability of 115 octane fuel, made around 3500 horsepower.

    Sweet.

  • `200 feet yes,
