Yamaha R1 at Willow Springs Track Day (Big Track)

This is my first shake down run, still setting up suspension and ride height. This is also my first time on a 1000cc bike at Willow. If you notice I never get into 6th gear going down the back stretch, but I do finally get 6th in the second shake down run. Damn turn 8 is wicked fast!!!!!

dang man, you hit 170 on the straight, how much do you weight? is it a stock gearing on -1+2? must say you put good lines man nice riding, that is a fast track, my tires were done by the end of the day completely tore up.

Thanks, I am about 205 and bike was stock except exhaust, air filter, velocity stacks, and a set of Dunlops.

Most bikes in the US have speedos that are 8% slower than indicated. BMW is accurate but all jap bikes are 8% off.
