Brad Nowell surfed Seal Beach, but his favorite spot was at Sunset Beach which is like a mile or so down the road towards Huntington.

Well actually Brad surfed this area I'm told. Not sure were the ashes were spread. But Surfside is just south of Sunset Beach by Anderson St. near the big Water tower off Pacific Coast Highway. No real public access to Surfside, as it's a gated community. BEARGUT"S right about the M&M school. Sunset and Surfside do have decent days some early mornings. Seal is usually flat.

is this where Brad Nowell surfed?? And ashes where spread on Surfside beach?? I live in Canada but am visiting this area to see Brad Nowells memorial and surfside to learn to surf......is this close??? What is the best time to come??

I didn't know Brad, early morning is the best time for surfing most days, when you're at Seal Beach Pier maybe someone at the M&M surfing school will be able to answer your question about Brad the M&M van is in the north parking lot daily.
