I have Cerebral Palsy myself, I'm 28 years old this goes beyond words. The idea of a school for kids with special needs is to HELP THE CHILD with their development and growth, not to HOLD THEM BACK. My wife who is an educator and I fully support you and wish you the best of luck in you fight to make this messed up system right for ALL children. DON'T GIVE UP!

Yeah, New Caney... Not such of a good district. Used to go to their 6th grade campus, and trust me it's worst than the elementary one.

Of COUSE caretakers are still humans, but you'd expect that a school who accepts kids with special needs would have the personel and infrastructure to care for them appropiately - You can't get a walker without some pediatrician's aproval, that kid is probably having lots and lots of therapy, just sayin.

would ever say that the fact that she's walking around is a liability that "takes away attention from the other kids", and no one would bind her legs together or anything like that. So why is this adorable girl in this video being treated differently even tough she wouldn't create much more extra workload than a very curious "average" kid? Also, if she doesn't reguarlarly use these leg muscles of hers, they'll atrophy and she'll have more trouble moving around than she alreafy has...

You see, I have an able-bodied little sister who has a tendency to try and escape from her caretakers and often tries to leave playgrounds/escape her supervisors. They had to reinforce a fence separating a spot in their yard that was being renovated with a wooden plank to prevent her from crawling in. If she were to escape her caretakers, she could hurt herself and with that tendency, she certainly requires more attention than the average toddler, just like this disabled girl, but no one
