  • Every tone regardless of volume is clear, text sparkles and he sings with a manliness that escapes modern baritones. Everything he sings rings and he sings louder but it does not become pushed. He also does not over cover the top, he colors but it is still clear and ringing. This is the way Cotogni sang. This is genius level singing.

  • One of the greatest baritones of all. Perfect technique. Wonderful sound.

  • listen to all that "wild & nasty" sound quality like an "animal"....all great singers of the past have it......

As a voice student......I am listen to these "old great singers"....for that quality......"the animal spirit"

  • Bravo, bravo. What a vocal treasure to be able to listen to this man's artistry. A true Bel Canto singer who sang through words and gave them their rightful meaning in a phrase. He had a great range - even extending into the tenor range. His interpretation of Largo Al Factotum is just fantastic and a joy to listen to.

  • Doug thanks

To the wonderful channel meister. RC sang a song called "When the Evening Bells are Ringing". Would love to share with others as Ihave it on an O,A.S.I [ LP] along with songs sing by DeLuca and Mardones. I wish it would be put on CD for a backup copy. That LP goes with me to the Desert Island.

    Cheers-John

  • Very, v-e-r-y nice... thank you ComteAnckarstrom for posting, and to 65attila for sharing.

  • Please more Stracciari - he recorded so many beautiful songs as well as arias,

    Thank you-John

  • Wonderful singing, much better than Cappuccilli's rendition.

  • Thank you for posting the Stracciari!!!

A voice of uncommon beauty and

    marvelous interpretive artistry. A

    rare pleasure!

  • A straightforward, manly interpretation, masterfully phrased, by an artist with one of the most beautiful voices ever heard. Delightful.
