David Haye Aiming To Be a Knockout In The Movies:)

DAVID HAYE is quitting the ring to become a Hollywood star.

The Former WBA world heavyweight champion will retire from boxing on 31 OCTOBER and head for the bright lights of LA.

Haye, 30, plans to stage a stunning change of career to emulate The Rock -- Dwayne Johnson -- who swapped wrestling for the movies.

The fighter has already sounded out Jason Statham and Vinnie Jones for advice over the new lifestyle, and intends to speak to Oscar winner Sir Michael Caine.

Haye, who takes on Audley Harrison on November 13, said: "I'm going to be a movie star. I'm going to break into Hollywood and be the next big action hero.

"What Vinnie Jones has done is amazing -- everyone knows him in LA -- and Jason Statham is an absolute megastar out there.

"I spoke to Jason when he did the West End premiere of The Expendables and I saw him again at the Q awards. He's a real nice guy and down to earth.

"He's got lots of advice for me and said after boxing is done he will help out as much as he can.

"And then you have got The Rock, Dwayne Johnson. He is great and went into it after he left WWE.

"So if I can go along those lines that'd be good. The Rock started off in small parts here and there, and when his time came he took over, so maybe I can be like him.

"I haven't done any acting before but I know I would be great.

"I have been talking to a few acting coaches and they said, 'Yeah, you've got it'.

"I'm a showman. I'm very cool under pressure. The bigger the occasion, the sharper I am.

"A lot of people crumble under it and go and do something crazy but that's not the case with me.

"I went to Michael Caine's premiere recently and he said he is going to come to the next fight, so I am definitely going to have a chat with him. You can't get a bigger worldwide star than him ... and he is from Bermondsey as well!"

Contender Harrison has tried to wind up Haye ahead of their duel at the MEN Arena by claiming his ego is spiralling out of control.

And Haye is certainly going to miss putting opponents in their place.

He said: "What I will miss most is just beating the s*** out of someone who has trained for weeks to beat you.

"There are these big guys and you're smaller than them but you go out and break them down and beat them.

"There is no substitute and I get no more satisfaction from beating Valuev than I did when I was 13 beating another 13-year-old."
