It's the base model as mentioned, and having lived and worked in Europe I know for a fact that there is no way you can get an A4 Avant for $34,500 unless you get one with cloth seats and hubcaps which they don't even offer in the US. Yes, we would love a TDI option. We get screwed with the array of options but it's the Europeans getting screwed with the price.

The european models of the A4 are a lot better Mine is the standard 2009 2.0 TDI salon and its much better then that one
