Once again, I had students from a variety of places in western Japan say the following in their local dialect:
I wanted to go shopping, but the weather was bad, so I ended up not going anywhere.

In standard Japanese this would be said: 買い物に行きたかったけど、天気が悪かったから、どこも行かなかった。

  • These are university students. In general, only junior and senior high school students (grades 7 to 12) wear uniforms.
