The Eat-In is a concept that came out of the Slow Food Movement, as a way to share information about the food-security challenges that we face all over the world. With international corporate interests steadily taking over and industrializing much of our food system, we are no longer assured of our right to food that is good, clean and fair. An Eat-In is an opportunity to discuss these issues and share food with people in the community... food that is grown locally and in-season, often purchased directly from the farmers.
