In this video, I discuss what I believe are 10 essentials for new mommies. I talk about nursing pads, natural diapers, moisturizers, essential oils and organic teas.

I apologize that the part about nursing pads is really long but after that, the video gets going pretty quickly. Healthy nursing pads were the most difficult product to find for me since I tried so many different types.

For those who are curious, my little one has never had a diaper rash. Although I partially attribute it to my diet and vitamin and mineral intake, I do think these products have helped, as well (teas and oils included).

EDIT: I have permanently switched to Earth's Best diapers. Seventh Generation recently rebranded -AND- they changed the size and makeup of their diapers. I find that now, it's too thin and too small. Earth's Best's diapers are slightly larger and there's more in each package. It's more economical and more reliable (in my opinion).

Also, I started using Young Living's KidScents lotion on my little one. My little one doesn't really need moisturizers that often but winter is coming and it's good to have a good moisturizer around. It's so good, I even use it myself!

========================================

Young Living is a company that distributes the purest essential oils I've ever found on the market. It's so pure that it's safe enough to take internally if necessary.

If you are interested in becoming a member or you would just like to purchase a few oils, give me a shout, and I will be more than happy to help you out!

If you would like to read more on natural ways to deal with skin conditions, read Natural remedies for newborn cradle cap and adult skin conditions (http://www.holistic-theory.com/?p=241). It also talks about Nettle Tea and Dandelion Root Tea.

"Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." -World Health Organization

Holistic theory, or holism, is the belief that parts of a whole are in intimate interconnection. They cannot exist independently of the whole or cannot be understood without reference to the whole.

  • @kristenclg — I love cloth diapers but unfortunately, because we have a coin-operated laundromat, it's not as convenient or even economical as simply buying disposables. I will probably try with my next baby, especially if we have our own washer/dryer, which I'm really looking forward to! :)

  • @kareenguillen - Some Toys 'R' Us and Babys 'R' Us carry Jackson Reece. Otherwise, I'd go to a health store. Some grocery stores are carrying them now as well but unfortunately, it's not as widely available as say, Seventh Generation baby products.

  • Have you considered cloth diapers? Seems like something you'd be into, just from seeing your top ten.

  • Hi i like everything you talk about i have a question where do you buy Jackson Reece wipes
