Yeah, totally - I mean they invested so much money in the jazz one, with live gigs as well as a series of documentaries, that I can't understand why they don't want to release it - DVDs are so cheap to produce, and they'd have a clear audience (if a little small) for it. Plus this, of course, and the prog ones. I did contact the BBC to request information on a release for the jazz one - just after it was broadcast - and they never even replied. Idwits. I think the difficulties of releasing this -and other docu's- have al lot to do with royalties (of the archival footage) and thus money. But maybe I'm wrong...

Thanks so much for uploading - this was a well-made documentary, which more importantly went a little way to spreading the word a little bit. It would have been nice if this was a series, but there you go.

Its a shame that the only way we'll get to see this is because of kind people uploading it here - the BBC will never release it as a DVD, just like they didn't with Jazz Britannia.
