  • thanks

  • SO much easier than how my teacher did it...

  • you explain better than my algebra 2 teacher.hahah

  • That was fantastic -

    Love the background vids and "Airplane"! Made my day ...

  • Ehh, not too bad.

    Formula is really"

    y= m|x-h|+k (point slope form but w/ absolute value)

    the number outside the signs in the "slope" thats all it is!

    the x cord (h) is the opposite of whats inside the absolute value lines, IE

    y=-4|x-6|+7 the points are (6,7)

    the h and k are your points, just like in point slope. the M value is your slope, it tells you if its up or down AND how many u have to go (like normal slope) for the next point.

  • So glad I found this vid! I have a test in algebra 2 tomorrow and now I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna fail! Lol

  • brilliant ur a great teacher

  • Thank you so much. Before this video, I had no idea what was going on in math class.

  • its 2.8 in the Mcdougghal littel algebra 2 book =]

  • another good method for finding vertex would be to say "opposite inside same outside"
