Space shuttle is a spacecraft and he is specifically talking about the rocket itself. The spacecraft (dragon) would have to be remade every time. And surprisingly enough the iss doesn't get hit by much or any space debris due to its altitude control and radar.

I think they can get the rocket itself to be reusable, but the space shuttle turned out to be a fortune per launch ($450 million) mostly due to repairs. How will SpaceX get around the expensive repair costs that are associated with getting smacked with space debris? If you guys read these comments, please let me know, I'd like to be an Aerospace Engineer in your company one day.

Of course the airliner is still on the ground where it landed. You don't have to get it back from 50 or 100 miles up.
This guy is so clever that he can explain complicated thing in a way that I understand.
