Home Made Video Game Console

My son workes 2 part time jobs and is looking for an apprenecship, yet the local companies dont think he is empoyable due to all the reject letters he gets when applying for work. He asked me 2 weeks ago if I would buy him an arcade style video gameing machine, obviously he was refused due to the cost.... So he decided to build his own from the money he had saved. He spent a day or so researching the internet and then purchased wood, buttons and joysticks, soldering kit, wires, 20" monitor and numerous other bits and bobs and then got to work. Today he plugged it all in to try it out and it WORKS! It makes you wonder why my son is rejected so much for an apprenecship when he has not only shown he can work for what he wants but also has the brains to go and build it aswel. I hope local business in the Barrow in furness area see this and re evaluate what they are missing on by not employing a young lad who obviously has talent.

Mate - it sounds like those companies that have knocked your son back are mugs one day they will live to regret it. I wish him all the best as he looks for an apprenticeship!
