Fashion designers? A ton of them are men, in fact the most prestigious are men, even though they design for women. And there are 2 so called "great" books that people know that women wrote: Frankenstein, and To Kill a Mockingbird. What other "classics" are written by women? Hairdressers, fashion designers, and models are not critical parts of any society. And as for teachers and nurses, I think its more of a taboo against men getting those jobs, so their less likely to get hired for them.

Doesn't mean they are better people. To be a good person, you need to be kind and caring, and that obviously means your out of the competition.
