There is no ideology or "system" on the planet that could warrant the use of thermo nuclear weapons. It is insanity pure and simple. And the fact that the United States continues to hold the worlds largest stock pile while waving its finger at other nations in protest is flat out hypocrisy and is all about US power. Curtis Lemay (Gen) wanted to go all out on Russian in the cold war. Dr Strangelove really DID exist!! The people in charge scare the hell out of me. Certifiable NUTS!!

Not that I'm prowar or nuke or anything, but a BBU42 or "Daisy-cutter" is a fuel-air "blast" weapon. It's designed to clear a large area of vegetation (or people). It absolutely sucks as a penetrating weapon. Think of it as a grenade, bad against people, but won't break a piece of 3/4 inch plywood. A penetrator weapon now being used is the bunker-buster, essentially a hardened steel tube, often an old artillery barrel, stuffed with high explosive. That whole thing is fired like a cont.

Why would the Joint Chiefs contemplate using nukes against bunkers and other fortified installations when high-yield fuel-air munitions (a la Vietnam's 'Daisy Cutter') could annihilate these? The current US administration's simply stupid!
