I have been contacted twice by someone claiming to be affiliated with the youtube partnership program telling me that if I don't change my partnership to nonprofit by 2010 my partnership will be suspended. do any of you partners know about this? Is it true? why hasn't youtube made an announcement about this already? Or is this just some bug hoax. I mean hell THEY invited me to apply for partnership, not the othr way around, sheesh!

  • This is the first we've heard of that before. :O ANy more updates on it?

  • Nothing new and I now believe it is a hoax.

  • I think that this is a hoax. I think alot of other youtubers that have sponsorships would be talking about it. Plus I doubt youtube would do this. Wait till like something officially happens like getting a message in your inbox from like somebody that works for youtube I guess. Btw, bad Don for having cigarettes in BOTH of his pockets. Lol im jk everyone has b4 ;). Happy Holidays!

  • It probably is, I was just double checking in case i did miss something. What only two pockets, darn I forgot to put a pack on the desk, lol!

  • the program. So, I wouldn't be worried :)

Anyway, happy holidays, Don. Sorry I didn't get the chance to say so earlier. I was busy off-line eating as much as humanly possible, :)

  • Happy Holidays to you Nick. I was just double checking because sometime I miss announcements on youtube.

  • YouTube wouldn't make such a drastic decision without sending all their partners notices, weeks in advance. Further more, any messages sent to you on other websites (MSN, Yahoo, G-mail, etc.) that reference YouTube in anyway should be disregarded completely. Seeing as partnerships are really only there so that we amateur video makers can make 'some' profit off our videos, I think they'd likely rid the site of partnerships all together before they take away the ability to make some cash through-

  • Yeah it is, I was double checking to see if I had missed something.

  • Oh never mind, you said in your video you didn't know who it was. Yeah, sounds like a load of bullshit.

  • That sounds like a load of shit to me. If YouTube was going to be doing something big like that, then they'd definitely contact you through email or something. Also, whoever contacted you through MSN, were they someone you knew?
