"9,000" supposed scientists disagree?? Well there are about 22 million scientists and engineers in the USA. I wonder, out of the 9,000 "scientists," how many are experts in the field? (climate scientists)

For example, a biologist would have no authority on this subject.

@ChristianPhysicist Your first source was citing a separate source that stated that 1,372 polled climate scientists reached a 98 percent consensus. But there's an online petition that shows over 9,000 scientists that have signed it disagree. Still, the "98 percent" quote is an effective sound bite, I'll grant you that :)

What's truly tragic about politics is that it's difficult to know what these people believe. They may say one thing, they may do another, but at the end of the day, pandering seems to be the way they go.

Unfortunately, global warming is not a hoax. For the sake of the America and the world, I really hope Santorum is just woefully ignorant or simply duped. The possibility that he understands the implications of GW, yet is lying to garner votes, is disturbing.
