  • my son is in fourth grade, and hasn't been taught a single thing about her, it's a disgrace. Children need to be better educated!

  • This is a great video. You can learn more about Sacajawea's role in the Lewis and Clark Expedition if you visit U-Haul's website, they have an entire write-up and Graphic dedicated to Sacajawea.

  • I am glad to see that some people can pronounce her name properly! The pronunciation of Sacagawea’s name in years since the expedtion as “Sacajawea” does not match “Sah-cah' gah-we-ah,” the way that Lewis & Clark recorded the young Shoshone woman’s name. In fact, her name -- made by joining the Hidatsa words for bird (“sacaga”) and woman (“wea”) -- was written 17 times by the explorers in their journals and on their maps, and each time it was spelled with a “g” in the third syllable.

  • omg!!! i am doing a bioagraphy on her and i need more info! can somebody pleae message meh and tell meh alot of info bout her?
