Khecheopalri...The Wishing lake

Khecheopalri lake, known as "Wishing Lake", is sacred to all Buddhists & Hindu pilgrims from all over the world. Situated near Yuksum in west Sikkim, one can visit the lake from Pelling ( the district headquarter of west Sikkim ) as well. The water is believed to be sacred that not a single leaf is allowed to float on the water surface, it's believed by the local people that birds from the nearby forests clear out those leaves from the surface of the lake.....
