The twisting motion requires the body to keep the upper and lower abdominals flexed while the stabilizer muscles and core adjust as you slowly turn your body from side to side.

Remember that it is very important to take your time on this exercise. Speed will not help you build muscle or burn fat faster.   • which is better russian twist or side bend crunch.

  • @poptodawan I wouldn't really consider one better than the other because they work different areas of the abdominals. The side bend crunch works on your love handles and sides, the Russian twist works on your obliques and mid-line. My personal preference if I had to pick one would be the Russian Twist.

  • hey,nice exercise . can you make a video for lovehandles? I know you have to do cardio to get rid of lovehandles,but there must be an exercise to build up muscle for love handles / get rid of love handles .

  • Actually that is one of the many videos that we are currently working on. Side crunches, side planks, and side leg raises are all good exercises to do in order to cut down on those love handles. The side crunches will help reduce the fat on your sides and the leg raises will assist in the creation of the v-cut, which in turn will eventually get rid of your love handles.

  • can you tell me if, im going to train to get 6 pack, does it mean i cant drink any soda etc

  • Preferably you want to stay away from sodas. Sodas are full of empty calories and lots of sugars which if not used up are going to be stored as fat. Since your bodys organs are around your midsection, this new fat will most likely first deposit itself around your abs which would be counter intuitive to your goal!

    Also, since summer is only a month or two away, I would stay off the sodas until summer. This way you will be getting optimal returns on your abdominal and cardio workouts.

  • Hi! Have you tried - fast abs magic (just google it)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my m8 got great 6 pack abs and lost a lot of weight with it.

  • Because of scoliosis, I can't do sit ups or crunches, thank goodness for Russian twists
