Woopty dooo! Everything being burned is black or has to be colored black. I'd only be impressed if the laser was powerful enough to burn most materials regardless of having a dark color. BUT.... good work and great housing. Might want to put a warning label on that powerful of a laser though. :)

i wanna know how to make it :)

@ThatKidInKrutches lol...
nm = wavelenght of the diode.. ( or something... )
wut do u mean by high level..
-
what is a nm and what is so good if there a high level?
-
Thats the RIGHT way to do a "Laser Flashlight Hack"
Good Job.
-
what driver did you use?
i use a 500mah, 2.5-5v driver, it wouldn't power the diode, maybe the driver is dead
-.-

Good divergence.

What kind of host/flashlight body is that?

I used LM317T....
You can't use any driver because laser diodes are sensitive.
This is probably boost driver for flashlights and they won't work for LDs

I'm not really sure.
Brand is HMMüllner , I don't know model.
It's supposed to be 2xAA low-power flashlight.

Nothing is safe.
In dvd writers these diodes work on significantly lower current.
It's not safe to overdrive diode and not to use heatsink.
