@tanktilublank I first heard AH at the age of 8-9..My father had all his albums on vinyl and all had the lyrics printed on the inner sleeve or cover. I'm 40 now and still love his acoustic rhythm and upbeat lyrics as if I'd never heard them before....I'm going to be seeing his son playing with The Strokes next month...SWINGS & ROUND-ABOUTS......

Is this the original ? I have a copy on PAGE ONE from 1968 recorded by the COLOURS OF LOVE which no one seems to have posted.

The song was composed by Albert Hammond for COLORS OF LOVE in 1968, but was successful in 1974 by Albert Hammond on USA in the year 1974 (U.S. # 31).
