El Gobierno venezolano expulsa a Human Rights Watch

El Gobierno venezolano expulsó el miércoles en la noche al director para las Américas de Human Rights Watch (HRW), José Miguel Vivanco, horas después de divulgar un informe que criticaba el retroceso que se ha dado en los derechos humanos en Venezuela durante los 10 años de gestión del presidente Hugo Chávez. También fue expulsado el subdirector de HRW, Daniel Wilkinson.
Al chileno Vivanco y al estadounidense Wilkinson se les decomisaron sus teléfonos celulares y no se les permitió avisar a su embajadas ni a sus familiares que habían sido expulsados.
Las autoridades también les quitaron las publicaciones que traían y varios ejemplares del informe Una Década de Chávez: Intolerancia política y oportunidades perdidas para el progreso de los derechos humanos en Venezuela, documento en el cual había hecho señalamientos al mandato de Chávez.

Venezuela's government expelled on Wednesday evening, the director for the Americas at Human Rights Watch (HRW), Jose Miguel Vivanco, hours after the disclosure of a report criticizing the decline that has occurred in human rights in Venezuela during 10 years Management of President Hugo Chávez.
