  • Yes, this is the standard!

  • Hal Rugg working over that Emmons pedal steel, and Johnny Paycheck doing a beautiful harmony job my god is this good!

  • The standard by which all country singers measure themselves against. The greatest

  • Well no, Mrs. Stewart's version would have to be ranked behind the Loudermilk(Louvin stagenames) version (writers) and King George's version. The wonderful harmony work was capably handled by Donny Young(Paycheck), and a young and hungry Hal Rugg leaving an early mark on Country Music, the real deal here folks, sit back, relax and listen to how its really done!

  • You are right donut

  • Nice, but Connie Smith's is the definitive version. For that matter, nearly everything that Smith did on her first two or three albums are the definitive versions. They're simply some of the best country and western records ever made.

  • at 18 i'm a huge george jones fan, a lot of today's country artist are selling are shit on a shingle.

  • greatest country singer today
