Heather Noe, who helped lead Nettleton to a pair of 3A state softball championships in 2009, has signed a grant-in-aid with Blue Mountain College.
Noe, a catcher/third baseman, was selected the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal 2009 slow-pitch Player of the Year after the Lady Tigers won championships in Division 2, North Mississippi, and state championship.
As a junior on Nettletons fast-pitch state championship and Division 2 and North Mississippi titles Noe, batted .367 with 10 doubles and 2 triples. She had 29 hits and 29 runs batted in for the Lady Tigers, who finished last year with a 24-1 record.
Heather is a truly outstanding player who will add a lot to our program, said BMC coach Kevin Barefield. The Lady Toppers begin play in the NAIA TranSouth Athletics Conference in 2010-2011.
Shes a really good third baseman and catcher, Barefield added, and she will give us some offensive firepower right away.
Noe received numerous awards at Nettleton, twice winning the Coaches Award and Hustle Award. She has also been named to the first team All-Division 2 3A twice in slow-pitch and once in fast-pitch.
