Most Top 10 Geek Movies lists are all about movies geeks love. If we did it that way, our list would be very different and include movies like Aeon Flux, Serenity, Sin City, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Instead, our choices were based on movies about geeks.

It was difficult narrowing down our choices. We wanted to distinguish between nerds, geeks and characters who are just really intelligent. We actually got kinda sad about having to leave some movies off the list. Some we considered and left off are A Beautiful Mind, Rushmore, Good Will Hunting, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Net, Fight Club, and Flatliners. Another movie we considered, of course, was Hackers. We didnt add it to the list was because its been soooo long since weve seen it.

thank you so much for making a movie list w/ out the revenge of the nerds franchise..

i am thrilled w/ this list great job...true genius was one of those movies that broke the mold of nerd/geek stereotype...and all these movies share a coming thread of the avenge underdog turned hero...kudos
