This was a piece I forced myself to write. I hadn't made any music in a while, so I just started playing around.

  • Favorite so far, really enjoyed this one. How do you usually go about staccatos? I find them difficult to make sound realistic alone in a mix, even swimming in convolution reverb.

Are you using different staccato patches/articulations for each note, kind of like round robin?

  • @AnthonyCasalenaMusic I try to vary the velocity of each note, to avoid that "machine gun" sound. It helps to perform each part, rather than program each note with perfect rhythm. The imperfections in a performance creates that realistic quality.

  • a little bit of Danny Elfman in there....

  • @MiguelRomooficial lol, he comes out of me even when I don't expect it

  • very original!! I love it !!

  • @solidus927 Thanks for commenting on a bunch of my tracks, I appreciate the input :)

Of course, but I still feel inconsistent velocity and not quantizing isn't enough. Convolution helps, but I think strings have a long way to come compared to brass and winds.

  • great man !!!

  • there's so much detail in your music.

  • @mukatsuku99 Thanks!

yes, those voices are from Symphonic Choirs. The choirs sound very realistic, and add an authentic feel to the piece.
