5 minutes from the acclaimed film:
Praying In Her Own Voice directed by Yael Katzir and produced by Dan Katzir and Ravit Markus.

This powerful film documents the courageous struggle of the famed "Women of the wall" movement. This group has spearheaded the battle for female equality in the religious world. Their main focus has been on the Wailing Wall - the holiest site for Jews where orthodox, conservative and reform women are not allowed to gather and pray. For the past decade they have challenged the government of Israel and the entire Jewish world by raising a lot of media attention both through colorful protests and by their unstoppable legal battle -- which has ended several times at the Israeli Supreme Court which made some very controversial rulings.

The story of the Women of the Wall is a test case for the deprived status of women in Israeli public life. The film is an outcry protesting religious coercion and the violent silencing of women. It's a film that raises many questions about the battle of the sexes within the religious Jewish world.

idiots, none of you are a rabbis, and you can have a relationship with god without putting on traditional mens taleisim, breaking up traditions older and wiser than you wil ever be

Adam6275 don't be narcissist. This is fight for equality. Nothing about envy the property of other please come on.

What men have to do is to stop repressing women. They have to do what they desire according to the law of Elohim.

In the past if they adulterated you killed them. Today if they use Tallit you imprison them. Then I wonder Adam6275 Who is the abuser and feels envy?

If you look and study it explains in the Torah how to act as women. Women are equal to men but different. Hashem understands what women are and since he made us all His Torah tells us how we should daven, dress, behave etc just like men have their roles so do women. Go learn the Torah inside, you will be surprised what you find.

The exact customs regarding the tying of the tzitzit and the format of the tallit are post-Biblical and rabbinical and can vary between various Jewish communities.

(Numbers 15:38, Deuteronomy 22:12). These passages do not specify tying particular types or numbers of knots in the fringes. Nor do they specify a gender division between men and women, or between native Israelite/Hebrew people and those assimilated by them

The Bible does not command wearing of a unique prayer shawl or tallit. Instead, it presumes that people wore a garment of some type to cover themselves and instructs them to add fringes (tzitzit) to the 4 corners of these (Numbers 15:38, Deuteronomy 22:12).

yes that is right but the oral law must be explaining the same as is in the written law otherwise is manipulation. If Iam a teacher and I am explaining the sun as the book says then I should not be speaking to students about the moon. JAJA

WHat is this guy saying? WHere in the Torah Elohim refers to women as house makers? Is he crazy?. When Israel passed the read sea and ELohim spoke to Moshe He clearly say:"BENEI YISRAEL will use Tzitziot" because I am Elohim that took you out of Egypt. By doing this you will not prostitute behind other gods. The Tzitziot have the 613 mitzvot that serves as a sign between Elohim's and Benei Yisrael. Were Israelite women left behind in Egypt or the passed the SEA?, WOmen have the same right.
