When the playoffs began, almost no one would have picked the St. Louis Cardinals to make it to the World Series, much less beat the Texas Rangers.
But they proved everyone wrong in Game 3 when Albert Pujols knocked three out of the park and batted six other Cardinals in for runs.
Then in Game 6, the Rangers started celebrating a little bit too early when they were a pitch away from winning. That was before David Freese's game-winning homer.
St. Louis won Game 7 by a score of 6 to 2.
Many say this was the most compelling World Series in a decade. With an outcome as surprising as this, who can say what will happen next year?
