O'Hanlon was killed in the border campaign. That's what the song is about: the tragedy of young lives being lost as a result of being brainwashed by political idealogy. Dominick Behan wrote this song. For another view of this, read his brother Brendan's book The Borstal Boy. Kelly, I like this version with the German voiceover. Would it be possible to let me have a copy? LOL
