@UFOGEAR I'm pretty sure B5 had some custom shaders and plugins or maybe that was seaquest? , isn't there a place to download old Lightwave for PC and maybe the shaders they used?

@kravorzlair no toaster for 1200 , there was a lightwave emulator for 1200 that came with a dongle my brother bought it but it didn't work it was a scam

Thanks for uploading this video! I am a Babylon 5 fan and I wanted to duplicate their style of SFX. Do happen to know where I can get this system? This technology is from 1991, so it is probably within my price range, but is there a more up-to-date version of this type of system. I am interested in doing stuff like @ 3:45-3:51.

For what amiga machines was video toaster available ? Only for big box amigas (4000) or home computer amigas too (like 1200) ??
Man amiga was the best even many of the games were awesome, my brother started with an amiga and video toaster and now he's a professor teaching 3d max and multimedia, we were so bummed when commodore went poop :(

@MrROTD What a joy must have been working with a Toaster!!! I wish i could. Anyway it was a pleasure to work with the Amiga. I have just watched "Pirates of Silicon Valley". The movie makes people beiieve that only Apple and Microsoft took part in the game. They don't mention just one time Commodore, the C64 or the Amiga (THE REALLY FIRST MULTIMEDIA HOME COMPUTER!!!). It's really a shame :(

Really impressive. I still don't know how to do those silhouette transitions.

@Vebinz I agree, we must remember it was back in 1991. Amazing engineers working on a remarkable computer. computer.

It worked on A2000 and A4000 models, but incredible (and usual for Commodore) it did not fit in the advanced A3000. It was a Zorro-bus card so it didn't fit the A1200. It also was an underpowered machine for the Toaster.

I posted this to my FB so my young digital media friends know that the digital revolutionary world was not invented by PC or Mac interests

@fluxstringer You are right, few people still rememember the Amiga was the first true multimedia computer. And it deserves the recognition for that.
