This video is cringeworthy & the end result would be even more congestion than we currently have if we stayed in the left lane!!, Also if you look at the examples used in the video you have to laugh as the cars each and everytime was overtaking or coming up to a opportunity to overtake

when I meet a middle lane moron on empty motorways I usually approach at speed and do a lane 1 to overtaking lane 2 maneuver and cut straight across back to lane 1 again.. It pleases me when I sometimes see them in my rear mirror magically move from overtaking lane 1 to lane 1 where they should be.

Also, people must stop talking about "the slow lane" and "the fast lane" - some actually believe it's 50, 60, 70 - it isn't, it's 70 max in all 3 lanes. When I sit in long lines of traffic on the motorway it angers me when you can see miles ahead and the road is empty due to three idiots causing a rolling road block, where they want to overtake but will not go over 70 to do so. FFS, if you want to overtake, boot it to get by then pull back in and ease off the gas.

Cockneychris - if you're doing 56 and someone is dawdling along in the middle at 50 then you have every right to keep in your lane - the highway code does say you can pass on the left if traffic on the right is moving slower. If police saw you driving continuously in lane 1 and go past slower traffic in lane 2 then they pull you, ask them in court why they saw the slow driver hogging lane 2 and did nothing. EVERY bridge should have flashing signs - OVERTAKING ONLY over lanes 2 & 3

im an hgv driver, all our trucks have speed limiters fitted, which restriscts our top speed, at 56m.p.h,

we are not allowed to use the 3rd lane of a motorway, its illegal to undertake in lane 1.

so tell me, if a car driver is hogging the centre lane doing 50m.p.h.

how the fuck do we overtake you, thats why so many truck drivers, get frustrated and tailgate you to get out of the way.
