If you look at it sideways it looks like a little glowing man dancing up the wire... Awesome device you got there.
-

That thing is gigantic!

Yes that's a flyback there.
-
All the sound comes from the plasma arc.

I'd love to hear Electricity from Automation on this setup (if you still have it somewhere). SUTT1975 has it on youtube. Pretty similar music to this, oldschool classic.

Hallo,
how much power does it need (mean)? And what tempearture has the transformer core after few minutes of run? ;-)
-
very nice! is that a diode split transformer?
-
I see that you have wound your primary coil around the exposed core. Am I right?

farelly impressive sound volume and quality. Well done. Schematics would be appreciated, but im pretty sure you dont give them out.
Bit skeptic though, after the beeps from the audio input have stopped and music begins to play, you can see in the reflection of the clock there is no spark anywhere along the coat hangers....no spark....no music shouldnt that be?
unless you get shorting in your flyback?

The arc will have been stuck at the top of the ladder at this point - this happens often during the video ;)
