The video doesnt really do the emulator justice, when not recording it averages 50-60fps most of the time :)

  • i fail to see exactly what i am doing wrong here i cant run ssbm above 20fps on my computer... my specs are

    windows 7 x64

    4gb ram

    nvidia geforce 9600m

    dual core 2ghz amd processor

  • Emulation depends massively on processing power, you really need a 3ghz+ dual core to play a lot of Wii games at full speed.

If you havent already enable dual core and idle skipping in the Dolphin general config, from looking at the spaces you posted its almost defiantly down to your processor speed, my processor is almost 1ghz faster so thats going to give Dolphin a significant boost.

  • i play all wii games perfectly on my pc :D

  • @supermonk3y07 have some questions regarding Dolphin. whenever I play Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2, I usually experience slowdowns, especially when i'm in the areas where there's lots of things happening such as the shooting stars. Do you know how to make mario galaxy faster? I'm pretty sure its not my computer.

  • @supermonk3y07 True that.

  • @777neotamakachi777 I built mine a long time ago/ Thank you though. I have an i7 930 CPU, 2.8Ghz I believe. I hear that the CPUs dont last as long when you overclock them

  • @supermonk3y07 When it comes to emulators (ps2 and wii) most important thing is the amount of cache the cpu can handle. a 3ghz cpu can beat a 2ghz cpu provided it has enough cache. personally, I'd reccomend an intel i5 as they have high clock speeds and nice level 2 caches.

  • I am thinking of building my own PC, to run Wii emulator. I am wondering though, what are the reccomended specs to use? so anything like a 3Ghx processor or higher, and dual core or higher right?

  • if i have a hd radeon 4200 and a athalonii x4 3.0ghz should i upgrade ma graphics card? it is onboard and old.

  • yeah i got it working already but thanks for the help anyway :P
