I know you said Fremont, but that sure looks like Fontana

The only problem with Gassers is, they are such a broad class of car its always hard to describe to someone what they are.

Ohio George Montgomery, Stone Wood & Cook, Big John Mazmanian, Junior Thompson, K S Pittman (formerly Pittman-Edwards) all were great AA/GS dragracers in the 60s. In one season , 6 different theories were tried.. aerodynamics (a late model mustang body) Fat fendered 33 and 40 Willys coupes, Ford Anglia (weight transference on low end) Bantam Bodied (for quick starts) etc. It was HEAVEN that summer!

@vmaxerrrr I say, lets bring it back! Start a gasser only class! Just get together and race
I really miss the old gassers, 9000rpm launch, 4-speed trannies, straight for the
ditch ! Off the throttle, back on, off the right side of the track ! That kind of racing put people in the stands, unlike today with the BORING et cars and their power-slide automatics
