Stanley Turrentine can have a full 20 minute conversation with you using only his magnificent saxaphone, truly man and instrument were one. Im happy to have been able to see this master play before his passing... Long Live His MUSIC!!!

This is probably from 1989 or 1990- since the song "Touching" came out on Stanley's 1989 CD "LaPlace" (and the clothes and hairstyles also give away the date). "Touching" was co-written by keyboardist Bobby Lyle. I saw Stanley live in Rochester, New York in 1993 and I have his autograph from that show proudly framed on my wall. "The Sugar Man" was simply the best, the coolest. I really miss him.
