I often say this is where Paula sort of went Janet Jackson like...this song does remind me of That's The Way Love Goes....a very sultry style :-) and I love this song very much!!!

@james1200 Yes Paula Abdul soared high in record sales and charts outnumbering Madonna for a while during 1989 to 1991 period, after the "Justify My Love" controversy which banned Madonna from MTV in the late 1990 as far as I could remember. I object to your statement for Paula Abdul as the biggest star, since Madonna still remained the Queen Of Pop title despite the downsides of her career, as she returned in 1992 with "Erotica" album and her "Sex" book which gained her publicity as sales zoom.

Ofra Haza sounds like Paula Abdul a little bit! She's one lovely diva from Sri Lanka or India. We used to dance this song in college. I missed it!

one of the greatest dancers, if not the greatest female dancer.
She taught Janet !

She is bloody awesome , it's no wonder she has lasted this long in hollywood and is still in hollywood!!!
This song should have been a #1 record!!

Ofra Haza is singing at the beginning and noone mentions her. Shame!
-
AWESOME!!! She is so good.

3 studio albums does not a career make.

@ViolettaMarmalade @ViolettaMarmalade Totally! I thought the exact same thing. This song is totally "Abdul" :) plus in The Way That You Love Me she also sings about Brazil. Harry's drowned in proudness.
she deserved a much more successful career!!! she's awesome

@pastcineo She was the biggest star on the planet in the late eighties and early nineties, on the cover of People magazine as being the best-selling artist on the planet and, as they snarkly put it, out-selling the hell out of even Madonna. She had her time in the sun!
