Dollar Collapse Video

is it time to twiddle the thumbs and keep waiting? If you haven't prepared yet, then be thankful you still have time

  • This is moronic. If anyone actually believed that the dollar was going to collapse rapidly, they would leave the country. You simply can not prepare for hyper-inflation. It's not like you would be able to batten down the hatches and stay in a house for a month. If the dollar were to collapse, things would get really bad, really quickly. The US isn't an island, the dollar is a world currency and foreign central banks aren't going to let it collapse overnight.

  • its probable that they will not let it collapse over night and I am talking about the start stages of what seems likely to be a 12-18month death because of the reasons you said to support it not happening overnight. However, and overnight/weekend collapse is more probable for 2010.

  • The dollar is not going to collapse.

Most of the money supply growth is coming from credit creation. This is different than currency creation and debt monetization.

The bottom line is that the FED has kept interest rates at 0% and they have pumped liquidity into banks. What is going to happen to the dollar in a year or two when the FED starts to raise interest rates? You are going to see a massive rally in the dollar. The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay liquid.

  • If we were NOT going into a GOLDEN AGE, and if FEAR were to stay in this world, then you would be correct. However, its seems highly likely that we are moving to this period and when we look at the amount of regular people whom have had enough of this.. it seems for sure.

I am expecting one final hoorah rally in the dollar which will bring stocks lower as it seems when stocks are sold dollars go higher.

  • Dear Derek,

I have been offered a job in the Toronto area it is a small salary +commission position selling industrial equiptment for a US based Company. I would have to relocate from the US. Is this wise?

  • i do not know your situation and am not sure.

Toronto should rank amongst the top large cities in north america and there is a lot of fresh clean water here in southern ontario.

I am also not sure on the security of your position also.

  • If we fired the president, congress and the senate and replaced them with people selected at random I think we would be better off. I am certain it would not be worse. At least there would be a chance of getting people who actually gave a sh!t about the average person.

  • The inflationist say that the dollar is going to collapse when Japan and China no longer purchase our bonds and yields start to spike up.

The problem is the US consumer is choking on trillions of dollars of IOUs and non self liquidating debt. Cars, mortgages, houses, as well as deleveraging in the credit and stock market.

IF BOND YIELDS SPIKE the defaults and deflation will only happen even faster. This will destroy the money supply and cause the dollar to rise.

  • @obummersux Right now, the US is still the largest economy in the world, by far and the USD is likely to remain the world reserve currency for a while. Things like that don't just change over night.

  • @christo930 that world reserve currency status you spoke of how much longer the dollar will continue to have that designation?? tick tock tick tock

  • @FGTBOGSAT TRUE

  • IT WILL COLLAPSE VERY SOON. IT CANT BE HELD UP FOR LONGER, BECAUSE IF THEIR GOING TO HAVE THIS % OF PERSONS GETTING AN INCOME, AND THIS % OF PERSONS WITH NO INCOME...DOESN'T SEEM SO FAIR DOES IT. IT CANT STAND FOR LONG. ITS NOT POSSIBLE. WE WEREN'T MENT TO BE DEPENDENT ON MONEY FEEL ME?

  • Your interesting to listen to. I may not agree with everything you say, but I do like the way you think. As for the dollar crashing, many very knowledgable people agree that this is fast becoming an inevitability. But others disagree. Some because they don't believe it, others because it is in their interest to disagree. As for preparation - I agree. It's a good idea to be prepared, but it's always hard to say how dire the situation really is. Anyway, interesting video. Thanks.

  • @FGTBOGSAT So is every other currency. Gold has the same problem as paper in that respect. What's is worth? What you can get for it. How much is that? Who knows? It changes on a day to day basis. The only real advantage of gold over fiat (and it's a big advantage) is that it is much harder create inflation.

  • @christo930 The dollar is just a piece of paper and nothing more.

  • @jfehle

I wouldn't fire Ron Paul. He has been on this problem for more than 30 years. Why would you want to get rid of a wise lone-wolf like Paul?

  • RON PAUL IS A HERO..he is the only one ill say stands out....

  • I'm gonna holdja toit.
