  • Well Mayans did not have access to Cardamom, that plant is native India. The recipe is most likely a non true Mayan recipe. Mayans use the real cocoa, chili peppers, grind corn and sometime honey (it's not a suppose to be a sweet drink but taste real good if fresh organic indigents are used). But I guess the adding a spice gives it the ancient mesoamerican feeling.

  • The only flaw is that you added milk, and the mayans didn't. It's much more healthy if you don't add milk as milk inhibits the magnesium absorption.
