The Bous a la Mar Festival (Bulls by the Sea) is held every year in Denia, Spain, During the festival there is a running of the bulls down the main street of Denia that ends up at the marina. In the marina, there is a small arena that has been setup and at night during the festival, the bulls are let into the arena, one at a time, to chase people around in it. To avoid getting hit by the bull, the participants either run out of the way or most of them jump into the water just before the bull catches them. Sometimes the bulls fall into the water. If this happens, there is a boat standing by to lasso the bull and tow it safely back to shore.
