Gibraltar (Part Two)

Recorded August 27, 2008.

Gibraltar is a self-governing British overseas territory located near the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. The territory shares a border with Spain to the north. The territory covers 2.642 square miles and has a population of around 30,000 people. Most of its upper area is covered by a nature reserve, which is home to around 230 Barbary Macaques, commonly known as apes, the only wild monkeys found in Europe.

This video begins where part one left off on top of the Rock of Gibraltar. After taking in more views from the Rock we venture into St. Michael's Cave. I also capture a cute monkey sitting in the entrance to the gift shop. Next there is a nice view of the unique airport from the southern edge of the Rock looking into Spain. From there we walk through the great siege tunnels. The video concludes as we drive down from the top of the Rock into the city.

Olivenza was lost by themin 1801 and they should move on and concentrate

on ACTUALLY winning soccer matches that count for a Cup (i.e. a

World Cup, Euro Cup etc.) instead of concentrating on winning "friendly" matches

that don't count for everything. Personally, i do firmly believe that the Brittish Crown

will vacate Gib because their government is sick & tired of supporting overseas

shitholes that drain their socio-economic system.

@Oasisthunders You have to see the bigger picture here.It is paramount that Spain gets Portugal as an ally.Part of the reason Spain lost Gibraltar it was because Portugal was helping the pirates.Also,when Franco closed the fence,Portugal was helping the pirates in Gibraltar with water and other stuff,that's part of the reason they managed to survive.Portugal did it because of their grudge about Olivenza.Olivevnza is a SMALL price to pay for Spain,Gibraltar is much more significant.
